Together, Every Day: Putting People at the Heart of ITAGENCY

When ITAGENCY was founded, the modern concept of human resource management had not yet taken hold. At the time, the company was so small that there was no real need for roles dedicated to employee care. But as the organization grew, the need for a more structured and people-focused approach became increasingly clear.

This marked the beginning of Viviana Pastres’ journey, who today leads an HR department of five professionals taking care of the needs of over 300 workers. A daily challenge the HR team tackles with passion, dedication, and a collaborative spirit, always aiming to improve the quality of the relationship between the company and its collaborators, whether employees or salespeople.

Viviana and her team recently shared their story in the podcast created for ITAGENCY’s 50th anniversary, explaining how a significant shift occurred when the company chose to separate administrative management from people care. It was an important step that allowed the HR department to become a true human and professional point of reference within the company. The HR team is often called on not only for work-related matters but also for issues touching the personal lives of employees—proof of the strong trust placed in these professionals. This has been made possible also thanks to the ongoing support from company management and the Fabbrini family, who have long believed in the human value of resources and the proposals of the HR department, supporting its initiatives with conviction and foresight.

Covid and the evolution of work culture
The pandemic was an unprecedented challenge. During those difficult months, the HR team managed an enormous emotional and operational workload, becoming a vital point of contact for over 300 people in isolation. It was during that time that smart working was introduced and consolidated, which continues to be an important tool today for balancing professional and personal life. The company embraced this transformation as an opportunity to rethink the work culture, moving toward more flexible and inclusive models.

The new headquarters and a new way of experiencing the company
The return to normalcy was marked by a key milestone: the inauguration of the new headquarters, which houses ITAGENCY and the other companies of the Fabbrini Group. This building is not only a modern and efficient environment, but it's also designed to promote socialization and well-being, thanks to open-plan spaces, a company cafeteria that encourages coworker interaction, and common areas where colleagues can chat over coffee. This more open and fluid dimension also reflects the values promoted by the HR department, which works to strengthen bonds between colleagues, value diversity, and foster inclusion—avoiding closed-off groups and encouraging a work culture based on mutual respect.

A daily commitment to modern workplace welfare
As Viviana Pastres often says, "the bar must always be raised." Even though ITAGENCY already boasts an advanced approach to corporate welfare—with flexible hours, initiatives for mental and physical well-being, continuous training, and an increasingly people-oriented HR system—the journey is ongoing. Our goal is simple but ambitious: to put people in the best position to work well and live better. We are proud of the work of our HR department and the support it receives from across the company. Because we believe a calm and stimulating environment is the key to attracting new talent, valuing those already with us, and continuing to grow together.
